The position is at the full performance level located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), at the VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System (GLA) in any of the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) and/or Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) listed below Santa Barbara (SBA) CBOC.
Duties
The incumbent performs administrative work, which includes management of an office's schedule or day-to-day plans. The major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
An administrative support role in a clinic or hospital ward.
Administrative Support Assistant for the respective site(s) above is to help direct and perform administrative functions in support of the Site Manager for respective site(s)
Perform administrative functions in support of the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) and/or Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC).
Review administrative program guidance, policies and procedures as required.
Serve as the ADPAC, TMS Coordinator, Parking Lot Card manager and PIV Sponsor for respective site(s).
Utilize office software to generate reports, charts, graphs, tables and/or narrative material.
Review and/or draft revisions of regulations, policy, procedures, methods, and actions of an administrative nature.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Do you possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience (equivalent to at least the GS-05 level or pay band in the Federal service) that includes performing the following duties: developing information and resources materials to support the activities related to Ambulatory care to include database searches, researching publications, and reviewing administrative guidance, policies and procedures.
There is no educational substitution for the GS-06 level.
