About the Position: Serves as a Management and Program Analyst responsible for planning, developing, and monitoring implementation of plans, policies, procedures and guidance for Garrison to assist with productivity, quality management, and organization improvements such as Army Stationing and the Strategic Plan.
Duties
Plans, manages, and executes the strategic planning integration functions for the Garrison.
Plans, develops, monitors, and implements the Fort Cavazos stationing plan.
Directs, conducts, and oversees the completion of detailed studies in response to Garrison Commander initiatives.
Leads the project team in conducting annual update/revisions to the written Strategic Plan (STRATPLAN).
Advise on implementation of new ideas, procedures, processes, methods or approaches in areas of productivity, quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Keep the Garrison Commander, Mission Commander, and affected tenant Commanders informed of stationing actions and their progress.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience conducting strategic planning to provide data that influences organizational structure and/or mission function statements. Developing command policy for stationing of military forces. Running project teams and working groups for strategic and stationing planning. Conducting studies to evaluate ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency of work operations. Making recommendations that will change or develop installation policies and programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
