You will serve as an INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE TECHNICIAN in the Bureau Medicine and Surgery Military Treatment Facility (BUMED MTF) of NMRTC PEARL HARBOR HI.
Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) if 8.90% will be added to stated salary, subject to change without notice.
Duties
You will prepare and compile statistical reports of patients of the occupational health clinic.
You will perform industrial hygiene workplace assessment visits to evaluate work practices for occupational and environmental hazards.
You will evaluate supply use to order materials to meet operational needs.
You will follow established safety practices by properly using and storing equipment.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
For GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience completing workplace monitoring in support of Exposure Monitoring Plans for multiple industrial commands/organizations across geographically dispersed areas.
Experience conducting complete workplace monitoring evaluations using various Industrial Hygiene (IH) monitoring equipment of work operations involving potentially hazardous occupational physical and chemical stressors with minimal oversight of an Industrial Hygienist.
Experience gathering data on-site for the recognized chemical and physical hazards of the work operations monitored.
Experience documenting workplace conditions and any apparent violations of occupational safety and health standards during the monitoring of work operations.
Experience managing IH monitoring equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair programs within an industrial hygiene program office.
Experience preparing instructional outlines and providing technical instruction to IH professionals, technicians and workplace monitors on the use of new technically advanced Industrial Hygiene equipment.
Experience utilizing electronic data warehouse applications such as the Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System Industrial Hygiene (DOEHRS-IH) for entering occupational exposure monitoring data.
For GS-06:
Experience completing workplace monitoring in support of Exposure Monitoring Plans for multiple industrial commands/organizations across geographically dispersed areas.
Experience conducting complete workplace monitoring using various IH monitoring equipment of work operations involving potentially hazardous occupational physical and chemical stressors under the direction of an Industrial Hygienist.
Experience managing IH monitoring equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair programs within an industrial hygiene program office.
Experience utilizing MS Office Suite software such as Words, Excel, and/or Access.
Experience utilizing an electronic data warehouse application to enter occupational exposure monitoring data.
