You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN (AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS) in the Air Operations Department, Ground Electronics Maintenance Division of NAS CORPUS CHRISTI.
Duties
You will perform test and evaluation work using schematics, wiring diagrams, installation drawings, and specifications.
You will develop procedures for electronic maintenance, repair, or installation processes.
You will conduct functional tests to diagnose the extent and location of Air Traffic Control (ATC) Data Networking Systems malfunctions.
You will conduct on-the-job (OJT) training to required personnel relating to Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Due to the nature of the work and responsibility, this position requires training in and administering of first aid and/or CPR.
- Employee is required to have the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing technical airfield electronic work for compliance with regulations; 2) Troubleshooting and repairing airfield electronic equipment, air traffic control systems, radars, instrument approach systems, navigational aids, and communications systems to solve complex technical problems or improve system performance; 3) Evaluating equipment design to improve or enhance circuit and system operation; 4) Using applicable test equipment, test methods and practices as related to the Air Traffic Control equipment and systems, including safety precautions; 5) Performing site certification of ATC and Airfield Landing systems; and 6) Applying knowledge of Naval Air Traffic Control, air navigation aids and landing systems.
