You will serve as a PROCUREMENT TECHNICIAN in the Logistics and Acquisition Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. SALARY RANGES: GS-06 $45,994 - $59,794 GS-07 $51,110 - $66,455

Duties

You will assist specialists in developing special clause terms and requirements peculiar to complex contract requirements. You will research and review past performance of proposed contractors, compiling and analyzing data for recommendation to contract specialists. You will assemble award data in contract files, assuring accuracy and completeness before transfer to contract administrator. You will perform all phases of contract administration on a small group of non-complex contracts. You will receive purchase requests, assemble all documentation, and preparing contract files for specialists, to include full range of contract types. (Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursement). You will review selected bids for responsiveness to requirements and assemble data for specialists to be used in determining successful bidder.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

FOR GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-06) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing procurement support for work involving contracts; reviewing and researching past performances of contractors, for recommendations to contract specialists; maintaining documentation for contract files; receiving and verifying correctness of contractor invoices; responding to recurring procurement questions. FOR GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing procurement support for work involving contracts; assembling and maintaining documentation for contract files; receiving and verifying correctness of contractor invoices; responding to recurring procurement questions.
