This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Human Resources Division, Office of Training.
The incumbent serves as a Program Analyst for the General Support Unit (TRAG) in the Academy Operations Section (TRA) and reports to the Unit Chief of TRAG.

As a Program Analyst, your typical work assignments may include:
Directing, managing, and planning activities pertaining to the Academy Scheduling, Division Orders, Academy Operational Memos and Newsletters, DEARIS File Plans.
Serving as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for the organization.
Making recommendations to managers in strategic planning activities to develop/update objectives, and strategies.
Transmitting class solicitations and travel arrangement teletypes prepared in accordance with agency financial policy.
Creating and developing administrative Division Orders (DO) or Academy Operational Requirements Memoranda to establish TR policies and procedures that impact agency training functions.
Requirements

- Employee required to become certified Contracting Officer Representative in within 4 months of assignment.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrate your ability in: 1) Coordinating a variety of contracting efforts (e.g. requirements, budget or costs). 2) Coordinating multiple tasks including training, schedules, reports, and contracts. 3) Collaborating with stakeholders to identify data, data improvements, and program requirements to enhance control quality, timeliness, and capabilities.
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrate your ability in: 1) Analyzing operations, projects, resource allocations and managing contracts or segments of contracts for an organization. 2) Managing directing, and planning activities related to training schedule. 3) Developing criteria and evaluating training programs, operations, and policies. 4) Managing data, data improvements, and program requirements to enhance control quality, timeliness, and capabilities.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
