Duties

Provides medical inventory management support to all Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) departments and satellite clinics. Physical inventory of all items; reviewing documents reflecting adjustments to inventories; and directing all steps and transactions to ensure documentation is acceptable. Responsible for the analysis, planning, and implementation of current and future supply requirements, utilizing knowledge of trends and requirements. Utilizes a thorough knowledge of standardized medical supply and medical inventory management regulations to perform a variety of duties. Determines the requirement and control of inventoried assets and excess inventory.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics and Supply Chain Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
