You will serve as an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic in the MRO Production Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will install, troubleshoot, repair, test, modify, calibrate and make functional and quantitative checks on numerous complex electronic systems and devices. You will ensure precise performance and reliability of all electronic systems associated with EA6B/F5/F18/H60 aircraft. You will determine methods of repair within subsystems that are interconnected. You will align, calibrate, and integrate subsystems into weapons systems and automatic test systems.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires rotating shift work.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Repairing, troubleshooting, modifying, and functionally testing complex navigation, detection, identification, and radar electronic devices such as found in automatic carrier landing systems or navigational radar; 2) Performing circuit analysis on integrated electronic systems to ensure the performance of the equipment is operable; 3) Solving difficult testing problems that arise by applying a broad range of electronic principles as well as knowledge of flight characteristics and their effect on electronic systems; and 4) Calculating waveform, tracing relationships in the signal flow and adapting electronic principals to achieve optimum effectiveness to integral devices contained in highly complex equipment; 5) Utilizing test equipment such as voltmeters, signal generators, sweep and pulse generators to perform tests on electronic devices; and 6) Interpreting drawings for Integrated electronic systems to determine which parts need to be replaced or adjusted Applicants must meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualification Handbook for Trades and Labor Occupations.
