This position is located in the Farm Service Agency, Missisippi State Office in Jackson, Mississippi.
About the position: Assists the Administrative Officer in planning, coordinating, and monitoring a variety of administrative management services provided to the State and County Office.
Duties
Evaluates administrative reports and management practices in State and County Offices and develop recommendations for improvements.
Participate with the AO in developing and carrying out a comprehensive personnel management program in matters of staffing and related personnel programs.
Provides a wide variety of administrative and technical support services.
Assists in a variety of personnel management tasks.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement 03/27/2024 including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined.
Specialized experience for the GS-11 level:
Three full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education or a Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral degree (i.e., LLM, etc.) from an accredited college or university in human resources, social or behavioral sciences or in such fields as business or public administration or industrial management, psychology, labor relations, education -OR-
One full-time year of administrative experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience independently performing a range of administrative specialties, such as contracting and procurement, management analysis, human resources management, budget and financial management, support services, and work measurement -OR-
A combination of education and experience as listed above.
Time in grade for the GS-11: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the GS-9 level.
Specialized experience for the GS-12 level:
One full-time year of specialized administrative experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing and coordinating a full range of administrative specialties such as contracting and procurement, management analysis, human resources management, budget and financial management, support services, and work measurement. In addition, experience includes planning, managing, executing, evaluating and facilitating the full range of administrative programs and operations.
Time in grade for the GS-12: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the GS-11 level.

Education
Education requirement/substitution for the GS-11: College Transcript: If you are qualifying based on education, submit a copy of your college transcript that lists college courses detailing each course by the number and department (i.e., bio 101, math 210, etc.), course title, number of credit hours and grade earned. You must submit with your application package evidence that any education completed in a foreign institution was appropriately accredited by an accredited body recognized by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education as equivalent to U.S. Education standards.
