You will serve as a PROGRAM ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the DEPARTMENT of ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY AND GENETICS (APG) of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.

Duties

You will serve as the departmental manager for the execution of current government ordering. purchasing oversight, financial account reporting and reconciliation practices. You will serve as the primary Government Purchase Card (GPC) cardholder responsible for managing departmental GPC accounts, and training and supervising alternate GPC card holders. You will oversee, manage, monitor, advise and execute purchase orders for departmental faculty members from funds related to research grants. You will monitor grants on a weekly basis and meets with faculty as necessary to advise them on spending rates of appropriate levels of funding to meet expenditures for the entire fiscal year. You will provide alternate vendor sources as appropriate, coordinate with the requesting faculty to resolve questions and to obtain necessary justification for purchases, if needed. You will provide financial and budgetary assistance to the Chairperson and approximately 158 faculty and staff.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing administrative or financial planning related to grants, contracts or teaching budgets to identify and resolve administrative processes for efficient and effective operations. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

• Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR
• Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree; OR
• Successful completion of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled; OR
• A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
