About the position: This position will be assigned to the Family Childcare Center at the Davis-Monthan AFB. This is a flexible position meaning it guarantees no hours but comes with the eligibility of working up to 40 hours a week.

Duties

Under the supervision of the Family Childcare (FCC) Coordinator, who defines overall functional areas of responsibility and provides assistance and guidance on policy and program changes; performs duties in support of the FCC by providing United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) training and compile and confirm accuracy of administrative products. On a continuing basis, instructs new applicant and current providers and monitors FCC providers to ensure they follow USDA CACFP and Air Force (AF) rules and guidelines. Conducts at a minimum, three monitoring visits per provider per fiscal year according to USDA CACFP guidelines. Assists in determining the quality of meals of children, provides specific guidance to providers to ensure proper performance of specified USDA CACFP and AF duties, inspects, evaluates and updates all pertinent records which relate to CACFP and provides other assistance as needed. Maintains and updates files on all providers and program activities. With the FCC Coordinator's approval, designs and develops dorms as needed withing the program. Prepares and conducts regularly scheduled training workshops in nutritional education and other pertinent tops for providers. Assists and designs and development of training aid in accordance with USDA CACFP and AF directives. Develops and submits USDA budget to supervisors for review and approval. Maintains accurate financial records, vouchers, correspondence, and documents required to manage and safeguard CACFP. Collects, completes, and analyzes monthly data from participating providers and converts this data into allowable claims for reimbursement. Assists in developing adapting and implementing procedures and other resources to be used by the FCC providers to support program goals and objectives. Identifies potential problem areas and develops recommended corrective actions, informed supervisor on all USDA CACFP, AF and any other issues that will impact the mission. Assists with providers lending library requests. Complies with all CACFP directives and AF guidelines and participates as required in USDA audits. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements

Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Must have general computer skills in the use of various automated software programs, tools and techniques to produce a variety of documents/reports. Knowledge of USDA CACFP directives, policies, procedures, and nutritional requirements is highly desired. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to communicate with others effectively both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and the public. Must be able to satisfactorily complete installation record check (IRC) and a Tier 1 (TI) background investigation. Must have a valid driver's license. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical and up-to-date immunizations. Position of Trust.
