About the Position: Instructs other workers; installs, maintains, repairs industrial electric wiring systems, switches, distribution panels, outlet boxes, electrical fixtures, etc. performs maintenance, diagnose and repair system and equipment malfunctions and uses equipment such as voltmeter, amp meter, wattmeter, megger and ohmmeter.

Duties

Assign the immediate tasks to be performed by individual staff members. Ensure that needed plans, blueprints, material and tools are available for jobs. Checks work in progress for compliance with supervisor's instructions. Answer staff questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions and other directives. Provide information to supervisor on causes of delays, overall work operations and problems. Pass on instructions received from supervisor.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R or DA Form 7412, Condition of Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.
  • This position requires pre-employment and annual physicals.
