You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (OA) in the Provost Marshal Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.
Duties
You will register vehicles aboard the installation and issue appropriate vehicle access passes. You will receive and process Sponsored Visitor Forms.
You will be responsible for the screening of application and documentation presented for base long-term and temporary vehicle passes.
You will be responsible for recording traffic citation data in various databases and adjudicated traffic citation upon customer walk-in or telephonic contacts, awarding the required number of points as identified in regulation
You will manage and control the use of the vehicle fleet by dispatching and retrieving assigned vehicles and by tracking the mileage and usage of vehicles, ensuring administrative paperwork is completed on each vehicle prior to and after its use
You will dispatch, manage and maintain vehicle fleet to include controlling, issuing, retrieving vehicles and maintaining accountability of equipment assigned to each vehicle.
You will assist in the administration of Traffic Court hearings, recording points, suspensions and revocations; record final dispositions in appropriate databases; process, copy and distribute notices.
You will account for and document issuance and inventory of controlled items, inventory base indicators.
You will record traffic citation data into databases and adjudicate traffic citations; prepare correspondence to state licensing agencies to report suspensions/revocations on installation.
You will assist in administering Traffic Court hearings, recording points, suspensions and revocations.
Requirements

- Work regularly includes assignment to a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays. This position requires rotating shift work every 3 months.
- May be required to obtain specific qualifications and licenses to operate different types and size of motor vehicles when preforming Motor Transportation Dispatch duties.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. A qualified typist is required.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing clerical and administrative duties such as preparing and maintaining security files and records, drafting routine correspondence relating to security, and providing customer service in support of security programs. (e.g. pass and identification, police records, physical security, entry point control, acquisition, etc.).
GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing clerical and administrative duties such as preparing files and records, drafting routine correspondence and providing customer service support.

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
