You will serve as a PROGRAM ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the UNIFORMED SERVICES UNIVERSITY OF THE HEALTH SCIENCES, F. EDWARD HEBERT SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, OFFICE FOR STUDENT AFFAIRS (OSA) of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
Duties
You will establish and maintain OSA electronic databases and responsible for keeping information accurate and up to date.
You will coordinate and maintain office records of assigned program areas to facilitate record use, aid in centralizing the office records and filing system and enforce the retention and disposition of files in accordance with prescribed guidelines.
You will manage the non-professional requirements of the School of Medicines Academic Counseling Program (ACP) for medical students in the basic science curriculum.
You will develop and administer the Student Orientation Programs for incoming first year students and returning second year medical students; establishes the schedule and coordinates with various presenters and departments throughout the University.
You will manage the transition, orientation, and support programs for prospective students and medical students, to include the Host, Sponsor, Orientation, Wellbeing and Awards Programs.
You will provide assistance and explain to USUHS faculty, staff, and student body or applicants on basic program policies and procedures promulgated by the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and other related regulatory officials.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provide administrative support related to student affairs to coordinate educational programs and optimizing solutions for efficient management of first and second year student support.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree (Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.)

Completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree (Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.)
~OR~
Completion of a LL.B. or J.D., if related (Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.)
