Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Financial Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Program Support Center to optimize business results and customer experience by: Responsibility for the budget formulation and execution of the AS budget and provides special budget reports and analyses each month to the FMP Directors and PSC Leadership Function as a problem solver and change agent with assignments based on events such as government mandated process/policy effecting the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS). Routine contact with other employees in the Division and multiple customer agencies to discusses such matters as the need to gather additional information, timeliness of information and documents which must be submitted to the accounting office, adequacy or implications of supporting documents, and continuing availability of funds. Directly supervise Supervisory Accountants/Financial Specialists positions that manages several branches and sections within Accounting Services. Provide full accounting and fiscal services for a variety of HHS customers and other Federal agencies including a complete range of disbursement, fund accounting, debt management and financial reporting services

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing at least 5 of 6 of the following: Assigning and evaluating the work performance of subordinate staff or contractors Recommending or providing final decisions for restructuring or rescheduling long-range goals, objectives or plans Utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods to analysis organizational operations Formulating and executing the budget for an organization or program Advising on solutions to financial management issues Recommending the course of action to resolve complex problems that involve maintenance of patient accounts, or independently writing specifications for a financial methodology.
