Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supply Management Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response to optimize business results and customer experience by: Represents ASPR on personal property management issues involving specific issues associated with supply management or operations, or to study solutions for a segment of a broad study involving several issues or problems with the Department and with outside organizations and provide procedural guidance and support to Headquarters, field, and contractor staff on property management matters and activities. Analyze and independently resolve difficult issues and problems pertaining to the accuracy and timeliness of supply actions. Advises the Branch Chief and staff of the Mission Support Branch regarding sound business practices for managing personal property and the necessity for making changes to improve efficiency of operations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR For GS-07:Experience: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service performing at least two (2)of the following: Assisting with receiving, inventorying, and keeping records of medical and/or logistical assets. Assisting with program evaluations and applying guidelines for the effectiveness of program operations. Assisting with inventory management and tracking of medical and/or logistical assets. -OR- Education: Successful completion of at least one (1) full year (18 semester/27 quarter credits) of progressively higher-level graduate degree. You must include transcripts.- -OR- Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A.) based on one of the following: (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society member. You must include transcripts.- -OR- Combination: Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. You must include transcripts. For GS-9: Experience: You must have one-year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes at least 2 (two) of the following: Receiving, Inventorying, and keeping records of medical and/or logistical assets. Preparing and managing the issuance of supplies and equipment. Analyzing facts, alternative and problems related to supply and develop recommendations for improvement. -OR- Education: Successful completion of at least a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years (36 semester/54 quarter credits) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. You must include transcripts. -OR- Combination: Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. You must include transcripts.
