Duties
Duties at full performance level:
Coordinates with managers, maintenance supervisors, and craft team leaders to identify information required to properly evaluate use of resources in terms of efficient and effective maintenance programs and operations.
Conducts studies to improve the efficiency of maintenance practices, including inspection cycles, methods of control and promoting of efficiency in maintenance work which includes simplification and standardization associated with the equipment maintenance master job plans.
Uses MAXIMO as an information collection tool and working with the support of the maintenance supervisors and craft team leaders, provides updates of scheduled maintenance work, manpower requirements by crafts, used for developing and improving work planning and scheduling.
Primary involvement in the work scheduling and planning processes is to provide information about work backlogs in a way decisions can be made to simplify maintenance work scheduling, cut costs, and improve the budgetary control and reporting of maintenance activities.
Provides a full range of technical user support and training on the use of MAXIMO.
Continually provides reviews of the MAXIMO work orders to ensure work status, work types, priorities, and appropriate work order screens are being filled out correctly, completely, and the required workflow functions, such as labor and material estimates, and scheduling information is being accomplished in accordance with established maintenance business practices.

For the GS-09
Specialized Experience: For the GS-09, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as: maintaining and monitoring data and making recommendations based on analysis; maintaining computerized databases or information tracking systems, collecting, compiling and organizing maintenance information, and using computer systems or applications to access, create, edit or retrieve data.
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
For the GS-11
Specialized Experience: For the GS-11, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as: analyzing and evaluating methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance management program operations; maintaining and monitoring data and making recommendations based on analysis; maintaining computerized databases or information tracking systems, collecting, compiling and organizing maintenance information, and using computer systems or applications to access, create, edit or retrieve data; analyze established business practices and procedures relating to maintenance database management.

Education: Substitution of Education in Lieu of Specialized Experience: Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related to course of study in Public Relations. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience at the GS-09 and GS-11 grade levels. You must submit a copy of college transcript(s) (unofficial copy is acceptable) to support claimed education if substituting education for experience. Transcripts must include the name of the college or university and date the degree was conferred. A typed list of courses, grades, semester/quarter hours, GPA, etc. will not be accepted. Non-submission may result in being rated not-qualified for the position.
