About the Position: This position is located in the Madigan Army Medical Center Office of Military Personnel Division, Tacoma, Washington. Duties

Explain a wide variety of military pay entitlements to Active Duty, Reserve Component and National Guard Soldiers. Answer pay related questions within regulatory guidance and instructions. Provide a full range of direct financial resources to support soldiers and their families. Serve as customer service representative for Travel Card and TDY inquiries. Process a variety of pay actions such as inactive/active duty training, special pay, incentive pay and other entitlements. Initiate corrective action for duplicate payments, incorrect accrual, missing entitlements or incentive pay. Resolve pay inquiries by researching and applying applicable guidelines. Sort various descriptions of pay within the department with the civilian personnel.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Pursuant to EO 14043, all Federal employees, regardless of duty location or work arrangement, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by November 22, 2021, or before entrance on duty if after November 22, subject to exceptions as required by law.

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a two year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

  • FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 1 position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d.

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resource or Business Administration or Financial Management or Accounting. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
