About the Position: Logistics Management Specialist supporting the planning, development and execution of the Army Food Program Strategy with responsibilities for planning, directing, coordinating, managing, and reviewing Property Accountability, Supply Management, Industrial Equipment Accountability, Life Cycle Management, and other support requirements actions.
Duties
Plan, direct, control, and coordinate development, integration, promulgation, and implementation of new and developing policies and procedural guidelines for existing and emerging command.
Plan, direct, control, and coordinate control for property accountability, supply management, and equipment life cycle management systems.
Brief senior leadership regarding Command Supply Discipline Programs (CSDP) execution and interpretation of CSDP results, from AMC Major Subordinate Commands consolidated, at the Army Command Level.
Maintain continuing awareness of broad Army logistics management and operation objectives and programs for Army Food Innovation and Transformation (AFIT) Division.
Represent AMC for AFIT, traveling to Army, Army Command Level, Major Subordinate Command Level and appropriate special interest meetings, conferences, assessments and work group sessions as required to perform the missions of the organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
- Acquisition certification, Life Cycle Logistics, Advanced level, within 4 years of job entry.
- Financial disclosure, OGE 450, upon entry and annually thereafter.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Advising and managing integrated data for strategic planning processes and documentation purposes; participating in studies and strategic analyses to meet goals and objectives for mission requirements; and collaborating in the integration and prioritization of strategic planning and life cycle management resources using an automated system to allocate resources. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower band/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
