This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. Positions in the Cyber Excepted Service are positions necessary to carry out and support the mission of the United States Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-RS11.
Duties
Applying analytical processes to the planning, design and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.
Responsible for carrying out the mission and functions required for test and evaluation of National Security and Information Technology Systems comprised of complex electronics, digital computing and ancillary devices, and computer programs.
Responsible for systems analysis, planning, design/development, and execution of complex automated test system projects.
Conducts all types of testing and provides technical support for large system tests.
Evaluates, designs, develops, acquires, modifies, and interfaces information management software, such as database management systems, life cycle development systems, and information dictionaries/directories.

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

- Top Secret/ SCI security clearance required.

Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in developing and integrating Cybersecurity focused IT projects; Experience in designing and developing data models, statistical analysis, multi-model database systems, and database design; Experience with programming languages.

Education
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GG-13 grade level.
