As a Lead IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS) at the GS-2210-14 level, you will be part of Office of the Inspector General, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will serve as Senior Team Lead and Technical Expert for the Claim Audits and Analytics Group (CAAG), within the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Office of Audits (OA).
Duties
Leads a team of professional analysts and IT specialists ranging in grades from GS-5 through GS-13.
Develops information systems in support of Office of Audits operations, including electronic workpaper systems, training tracking and registration systems, and audit report and recommendation tracking systems.
Researches the need for new or updated systems to meet business requirements.
Determines areas of high risk to be focused on during assigned data analytics and systems development projects.
Takes the lead in designing, developing, and implementing data analytical and information systems development and modernization initiatives (i.e., data warehouse initiatives, dashboards, machine learning/artificial intelligence, or other systems)
Analyzes project results, requests additional information, consolidates reports, and communicates the results.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements: You must have Information Technology (IT) related experience that demonstrates proficiency in each of the following competencies. Do you have:

2. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, considering the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Additional requirements:
For the GS14: You must have You must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level which includes: 1) developing or enhancing information systems including electronic workpaper systems, training tracking and registration systems, or audit report and recommendation tracking systems; 2) collaborating across business functions to share, integrate, and leverage data for all associated mission support and logistics integration functions; 3) determining areas of high risk and opportunities for process improvement as related to data and business systems and practices; 4) Planning and carrying out the work of a team of IT professionals. Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 14 level.
