This position is located within the Program Management Branch (AVP-220) of the Federal Aviation Administration's Office of Accident Investigation and Prevention (AVP). The incumbent serves as a Program Manager leading and advising in program business management functions.
Duties
The Program Manager is responsible for supporting AVP safety mission needs through the acquisition of new products and services, and efficient and effective resource management for existing acquisitions. The position serves as the Business Manager to plan and control the activities of an organization to achieve its goals and objectives. Evaluates the performance of tasks and develops an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement. Implements and manages changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved. Activities typically directly impact the objectives of one or more organizational units and subdivisions and often impact the objectives of the FAA.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
