Duties
Serves as Senior Operations Manager over the Industrial Retail Support and Wholesale Support Divisions to include Distribution Center Storage, Quality Assurance, Transportation, and Customer Service Programs.
Responsible for all actions, activities and coordination efforts to provide effective and efficient storage and distribution (S and D) support for all Department of Defense Military Services.
Serves as the DLA Distribution Barstow liaison for service coordination and problem resolution between all stakeholders, primarily the US Marine Corps Industrial facility.
Oversees and coordinates support functions of receiving, storage, packaging, delivery of, and other distribution functions for the Wholesale Support Division Operations in support of DoD customers worldwide.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Distribution Facilities Manager, GS-2030-12 your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule(GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements, by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Comprehensive knowledge of the functions of Storage & Distribution, Depot Maintenance, and Supply Chain Management.
Knowledge of DLA and military service structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships, as well as policies and guidelines concerning supply issues.
In-depth understanding of controlling positive and negative influences on productivity. Analytical skill and the ability to exercise critical judgment in order to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of supply operations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
