About the Position: Plans, coordinates, and executes professional geospatial analysis and related GIS tasks.
This position will allow for situational telework only. This position is NOT eligible for full-time telework.
Duties
Develops geospatial applications, add-ins, websites, and custom tools and scripts to support mission requirements.
Develops leading-edge methods for the production and delivery of geospatial data.
Provides technical expertise and quality assurance in the areas of cartographic, geographic, and photogrammetric mapping.
Utilizes source control for version tracking and collaborative development.
Maintains geospatial SDE database, works to keep database clean, functioning, and up to date on SDSFIE standards.
Provides input for database architecture, design, and maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications For GS-12:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing technical guidance on cartographic, geographic, and/or photogrammetric mapping; maintaining geospatial databases; and working closely with internal and/or external stakeholders to promote use of GIS technology in civil works projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job at the GS-13, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement for GS-12: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
