This position is at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in the Office of the Chief Information. This position serves as an IT Specialist (CUSPT).
Duties
As an IT Specialist (CUSPT), you will:
This position may require you to provide support after-hours.
Serve as a point of contact for senior agency users of NCUA's systems and processes, the incumbent must sift through an enormous amount of conflicting, erroneous, irrelevant, and emotional feedback, merge this information with accurate information and the incumbent's perceptions and analyses, to identify systemic problems that require resolution.
Diagnose and resolve the most complex problems in response to customer-reported incidents.
Keep abreast of changes in customer mission requirements through interaction with management.
Train and brief developers, network administrators, colleagues, and management on support activities.
Provide support training tailored to the individual needs of senior agency officials.
Requirements

Qualifications
Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
All applicants applying for the CU-13 grade level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-12 grade level obtained in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience:
Diagnose and resolve customer-reported incidents or problems
Install, configure, and monitor IT equipment; and
Administer user accounts, roles, and policies for users.
In addition to the specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
