The position is in the New York Division Albany Office of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The incumbent serves as a Transportation Specialist on the Program Management Team. As a Transportation Specialist, the employee should have some familiarity with how data is integrated into the transportation planning process and will participate in the management and oversight of the Division’s Data integration and Planning for Operations activities within the State.

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.To qualify for the Grade 12, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-11 it must include: Experience with surface transportation procedures, policies and regulations in development and implementation of program goals and objectives. Experience applying analytical, fact-finding, and problem-solving techniques through the interpretation of Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines, to recommend programmatic changes and analyze data. Experience communicating orally and in writing technical information, policy, and procedural interpretations.
