About the position: This position will be assigned to the Scott AFB Event Center. This is a Flexible position, 0-40 hours

Duties

Performs a full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing. Prepares convenience items, sets up and replenishes bar area, portions food for distribution and meal service. Washes and cleans kitchen equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
• This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate and/or complete food handlers training.

Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures to food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club or similar food activity. Knowledge of cleaning food service equipment, ability to season food and decide when required. Must be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
