Duties
Plan, direct, and implement in-plant quality assurance programs for contracts assigned to the Contract Management Office (CMO).
Guide, motivate, and oversee subordinates with a focus on project/program issues.
Assume ownership of processes and products as appropriate.
Resolve diverse, highly complex problems across multiple areas and disciplines.
Use innovative approaches to resolve unusual and difficult issues that significantly impact important policies and programs.
Anticipate problems, then develops solutions and action plans to ensure program/mission success.
Complete multiple project and programs goals within established guidelines.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Security Requirements: Special Sensitive requiring incumbent to obtain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security access.
- Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- Incumbent must obtain mandatory Back-to-Basics (BtB) certification within 60 months of entry into position. Incumbent must acquire 80 Continuous Learning Points every 24 months.
Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist position, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify for the NH-03 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-02, GS-11, or equivalent level under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Providing technical advice to implement contractor manufacturing, quality assurance processes, and systems that impact product quality.
Implementing continuous improvement techniques on contractor performance to assure contractual compliance with all contractual requirements.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
