You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Customer Service Division of the Aviation Support Division (ASD) of FLTREADCEN WEST DET.
Duties
You will be responsible for receiving incoming requests for material by part number of the National Stock Number (NSN).
You will analyze and rectify reports as required.
You will research and recommend substitutes/alternatives for items along with appropriate codes.
You will determine alternate methods of supply based upon supply characteristics.
You will make recommendations on ordering next higher assembly when supply is not available in the systems.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing supply support work necessary by providing technical assistance and knowledge to effectively execute supply requests. Examples of specialized experience should include some or all of the following: 1) Utilizing databases to obtain supply catalogs and technical manuals; 2) Responding to inquiries for technical information, supply substitutions, maintenance requirements and preservation and storage techniques; 3) Inspecting material to determine identification, application, usage, maintenance requirements and supply characteristics; 4) Assisting with resolving supply discrepancies. 5) Receiving incoming requests and assists with the review of supply part numbers against available stock.
