About the Position: This position is located at Andrews Air Force Base in Prince George's, Maryland.
Duties
Serve as the primary Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Program Manager for MEPRS and DMHRSi programs.
Coordinate with the Element Chiefs, Medical Resource Management, Personnel and Administration, Education and Training, and Medical Readiness in planning all aspects all functional areas of MEPRS/DMHRSi within the MTF and DoD.
Coordinate with personnel at all levels (local, Regional, Military Surgeon General and DoD staff) on the implementation, modification, and maintenance of the MEPRS and DMHRSi systems.
Use Military Health Systems (MHS) systems to complete data entry, extract and report as needed. Skilled in building and utilizing matrixed databases (e.g., import/export capabilities within all related and necessary data systems and repositories).
Conduct audits/reconciliation at different levels of the MEPRS Program. Develop audit criteria to validate compliance of reported clinical inpatient/outpatient workload, personnel time-reporting, and financial reconciliation on a monthly basis.
Provide training for all levels of facility staff concerning MEPRS/DMHRSi implementation, utilization and completing time reporting requirements in relation to each program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on any day or shift, including PMs, nights, weekends, holidays, or on an "on call" basis, necessary to meet mission requirements.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial transportation to conferences, meetings, or other functions away from the normal duty station.
- This position may require the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating with personnel at all levels on the implementation, modification, and maintenance of systems; conducting audits/reconciliation of programs; and assisting with training for all levels of facility staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or Information Technology.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
