As a Transportation Operations Officer, you will manage, plan, control and operate a complex Fleet Management Center (FMC). Location of position: FAS, Fleet Management Center, will be in one of these locations Zone 1: Edison, NJ
This office is responsible for managing the full spectrum of fleet vehicles administered by GSA.
We are currently filling one vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

- Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
- Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience in fleet operations in at least one of the following; vehicle acquisitions, maintenance controls, accident management, and vehicle re-marketing. This experience should include experience with:
implementing, coordinating, administering, and/or evaluating national programs and/or fleet pilot programs;
automated vehicle management computer systems;
providing technical direction, guidance and coordination of fleet management programs, polices, and initiatives which include industry practices/trends and marketing advertising/strategies.
