About the Position: Fort Eisenhower is in Augusta, Georgia, home of the Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE) and future headquarters of ARMY CYBER COMMAND (ARCYBER). Fort Eisenhower's location offers close proximity to a metropolitan area and is an easy drive from Atlanta, Savannah, the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains.

Duties

Serves as a Victim Advocate Coordinator providing comprehensive assistance and liaison services to and for victims of spouse abuse . Reports all suspected child abuse or neglect cases and unrestricted spouse abuse cases to the designated POC. Coordinates with local media to publicize information of Family Advocacy Program seminars, workshops, and programs available to the community. Coordinates with case manager in developing appropriate plan of assistance/intervention for the safety of the victim and their family members. Advises victims regarding restricted/unrestricted reporting. Advocates for the expressed interest and safety of the victim when providing testimony in the court martial and/or civilian judicial systems. Provides services for victims of spouse abuse and their families to include crisis intervention; assistance in securing medical treatment for injuries. Provides information on legal rights and resources available through both military and civilian programs,

Requirements

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service which includes (1) Working with victims of domestic violence that demonstrates knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence, community resources and services; 2) Providing input to Family Advocacy Program (FAP) Manager in the establishment and implementation of local policies and directives pertaining to the Victim Advocate Program. 3) Ensuring overall local management of domestic violence program to include prevention, training, and victim advocacy (VA). 4) knowledge of organizational, missions, lifestyles and situations that may contribute to individual and family issues. Two years of experience working with victims of domestic violence is highly desired.
