Duties
The Federal Research Division (FRD) is the principal fee-for-service, cost-recovery research and analysis service of the Library of Congress. FRD administers the Federal Research Program, which provides research reports, translations, and analytical studies for entities of the Federal Government and the District of Columbia. The division is currently organized into sections by subject area.
Qualifications
Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision.
Ability to provide program management, evaluation, and oversight in program topic areas relevant to public policy research.**
Ability to supervise and lead a diverse workforce.**
Ability to research, analyze, and gather requirements, and perform analytical studies.**
Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate projects and programs with national reach.
Ability to communicate in writing.
Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with individuals from varying backgrounds and levels.
Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
