About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W1E8AA USA INTELLIGENCE CTR OF EXCELLENCE. Assist as the Logistics Support Technician for the Center's Training Campus at Davis Monthan AFB (Tucson).

Duties

Assist the Logistics Support Liaison Officer performing technical supply management work related to property management and accountability. Provide technical logistics support to instructors/cadre and transient student population in support of a training mission. Assure sub-hand receipt holders and leadership are informed and trained in procedures and guidelines related to sub-hand receipt holder responsibilities. Manage local stock and shelf storage of office supplies and equipment to include receipt, storage, and issue for cadre, support staff, and students throughout the campus and other satellite locations. Prepare documentation to report excess supplies/equipment. Ensure appropriate J4 accountable inventory disposition instructions are obtained and complied with during the disposal process. Travel to supply and equipment pickup/delivery locations to support the mission. Operate GSA and Government owned vehicles to transport supplies and equipment. Account for durable and non-expendable equipment using automated property management systems, databases, and software.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Subject to after hours recall. May be required to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed based on organization mission.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical and annually thereafter.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Duties may include significant periods of standing, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling carts of supplies or equipment, and using heavy equipment movers to transport heavy items.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.

(2) Utilizing an automated supply system. (3) Maintaining property hand receipt. (4) Assisting with inventory of organization property. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-07). OR For External Candidates (Those candidates without current or prior Federal permanent competitive or excepted service employment): One year or more of specialized experience which which includes performing a combination of all of the following: (1) the acquisition, accountability, storage, issue and turn in of supplies and equipment for an organization; (2) maintaining hand receipts of all equipment issued and turned in; (3) management of property book transactions for organizational non-expendable, expendable, and durable property; and (4) maintaining property and facility equipment through service orders, maintenance requests and custodial. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position outside the federal service (GS/GG-08). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
