This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Capital Access, Office of Surety Guarantees in Washington, D.C. The nature of the work involves organizing and conducting performance reviews of all the surety companies participating in the Prior Approval and Preferred Surety Bond programs.
Duties
Conducts and coordinates program reviews with agency and surety personnel.
Advises Program Office Area Offices, Program Office Underwriting Policy Analyst and Claims Director of deficiencies found as a result of reviews.
Advises sureties on policy and procedural corrections necessary based on deficiencies detected through the review process.
Answers inquiries from the sureties about the review and orientation processes.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- This is a bargaining unit position with AFGE Local 228.
- This is not a drug testing designated position.
Qualifications
GS-13: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service) performing duties such as: analyzing and evaluating data, preparing technical data reports and a working knowledge of insurance regulations and the claims process.
