You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will manage requirements for timely fulfillment, expediting supply system material, analyzing and performing exception processing, and coordinating actions with junior expediters and other supply activities involved. You will establish procurements through government credit card or other local purchase methods as necessary. You will analyze the requisition process to determine alternatives, develop or modify local purchase procedures, and improve requisition processing. You will identify systemic issues and develop resolutions to correct program shortfalls. You will initiate action to expedite and complete delivery. You will communicate with customers, suppliers and supply system activities to facilitate the accomplishment of outfitting goals and to ensure information is shared.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: analyzing the requisition process to improve requisition processing; providing technical expertise in outfitting support and readily identifying program anomalies, systemic problems, or incorrect requisition and outfitting data; initiating supply action to expedite and complete delivery; and communicating with customers, suppliers, and supply system activities to facilitate outfitting goals.
