Duties

As a Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties: Performs landscape maintenance including operation of various power mowers, grounds equipment, power hedge trimmers and a variety of hand tools. Assists in fertilizing, weeding, planting trees and shrubs, tree trimming, mulching and related tasks. Cleans bathrooms, comfort stations, office, and other buildings and performs other custodial work such as collecting and disposing of trash, garbage and litter from quarters, grounds, trails and picnic areas. Maintains tools and equipment according to instructions and performs basic operator maintenance on park vehicles, grounds maintenance equipment and other power equipment. Uses three-quarter ton truck with dump bed, gate lift and winch to accomplish daily work requirements such as collecting trash along roadside and park-wide hauling of supplies and materials in and around the area.
