This position is located at the Morale, Welfare and Recreation, Golf Course Snack Bar and Lounge, Naval Air Station, Pensacola Florida. The purpose of this position is to perform a wide variety of simple cooking tasks.

Duties

Grills steaks, chops, poultry, pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, etc. by watching while the items are cooking; turning as required in the preparation of salads, desserts, juices, fruits, or other items as directed by higher grade cooks. Cooks cereal; makes beverages, toast, salads, and sandwiches. Prepares vegetables and fruits for serving, as directed. Place cooked food in serving dishes in steam carts and food trucks. Washes and cleans kitchen equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
• Must meet federal suitability requirements including successful completion of background investigation.
• Work may require sitting, walking, long periods of standing, bending and lifting of moderately heavy items up to 40 pounds without assistance and occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance.
• Must upload three (3) professional references along with contact information.
• You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
• Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.

Qualifications

Must have the ability to follow instructions, work safely, and do simple arithmetic. Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment, characteristics of various foods, and the ability to season food and decide when foods are done is acquired on the job.

Education
