Duties

Make presentations of developed materials to a variety of audiences; or providing training, or decision briefings or presentations to officials at the command level or outside the individual's chain of command. Perform pre- and post-award functions; workload management, document preparation, soliciting, awarding, negotiating, and cost/price analysis. Lead, building teams, and training others internal to the organization. Advise and mentor contract specialist while executing complex solicitations, awards, negotiations, cost/price analysis, and contract surveillance, creative problem solving for irregular contract situations.

Requirements

• Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty according to the DoDI 5000.66, change 3.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes ; 1) Evaluating cost analysis to conduct negotiation of contract prices, terms and conditions; 2) Providing guidance relating to contracting processes and procedures to personnel and 3) Issuing solicitations to communicate contract requirements to potential contractors..
