This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). RMS promotes stability and public confidence in the nation’s financial system through examining and supervising insured financial conditions, leading sound policy development, evaluating resolution plans, and monitoring and mitigating systemic risks.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify for the CG-13 level: Applicants must have a risk management commission and at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to a grade 12 or above. Specialized experience is experience as a commissioned Risk Management Examiner at the FDIC that has provided the candidate with the knowledge and ability to perform examinations of insured depository institutions and to evaluate the safety, soundness, and risk posed to the insurance fund.
To qualify for the CG-14 level: Applicants must have a risk management commission and at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to a grade 13 or above. Specialized experience is experience as a commissioned Risk Management Examiner at the FDIC that has provided the candidate with the knowledge and ability to manage the conduct of examinations of insured depository institutions and to evaluate the safety, soundness, and risk posed to the insurance fund including review of complex capital markets activities.
