Duties

-Monitors and performs mechanical maintenance, including application of mechanical theory for a hydro-electric power plant with a generating capacity up to 200 megawatts. -Operates cranes, hoists, industrial tractors, incidental to lifting, moving, dismantling, assembling, overhauling, or repairing of plant machinery and related equipment. -Dismantles, reconstructs, repairs, tests, and performs preventive maintenance on turbines, generators, motors, pumps, educators, valves, pipes, penstocks, intakes, spillways, outlet works, domestic water systems, sewage systems, hydraulic systems, etc. -Operates high voltage switches and related devices to implement the switching program set up by the operations supervisor. -Interprets and applies drawings, standard operating procedures, and manufacturer's instructions.
