About the Position: This position is with the 85th United States Army Reserve Support Command Headquarters located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The 85th Support Command's nine Brigade Support Elements and 46 Army Reserve Battalion dispersed across the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico are operationally controlled by 1st Army. In their support role, the 85th Support Command maintains readiness for these Soldiers in support of Pre-Deployment, Post-Deployment and Rotational Distributed Forces.

Duties

Coordinate the preparation of budgetary ceilings for staff. Prepare cost estimates and force structure actions for operating programs. Provide funding briefs to commanders and directors. Provide advice and guidance concerning resource management programs. Develop policies, programs, and systems for increasing efficiency and economy of Command resource management functions and operations. Monitor resource management programs to ensure optimum use. Develop implementation of fund control policies and systems. Manage the review, analysis, and reconciliation of all financial accounting systems. Exercise supervision over the daily activities of a full-time staff. Develop performance standards and evaluate work performance of subordinates.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • DoD Financial Management Certification Program - Level 2 within two years of appointment.
