You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the Engineering & Installation Division of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Duties

You will supervise engineers, scientists, technicians and technical specialists supporting local commands and the 4.2 Competency to provide project management, engineering and subject matter expertise on installation execution services. You will lead the branch to deliver and integrate new command and Control, Computers, Communications, Information, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities. You will be responsible for business development and sustainment in assigned areas and ensures proper project execution and compliance with established processes. You will supervise the technical and financial aspects of all projects executed within the branch, and is responsible for small purchase approval, organizational reporting and customer and sponsor interface.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 411 Advanced Level within 12 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band NM-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Serving as subject matter expert providing technical and project management oversight. Managing IT / C4ISR shore installation processes, procedures and resources; providing resolution to installation problems associated with large, complex IT/C4ISR installations and upgrades; providing supervision and/or leadership to engineers, scientists, IT specialists and/or technicians.
