You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the JUDGE ADVOCATE DIVISION of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will oversee overall administrative programs and support provided to the OSTC and OSTC personnel. You will oversee and formulate the development/implementation of general administrative procedures and policy for the OSTC. You will address all manpower, personnel, and logistics problems and seek appropriate solutions. You will formulate and recommend administrative policies and procedures and coordinate with administrative and technical staff to evaluate needs and anticipate results of implementation. You will manage a myriad of duties related to office administration, military/civilian personnel administration/management, fiscal/financial management, logistics, contracting, and general IT support to all personnel operating within organization. You will direct and coordinate all administrative function within the OSTC. You will independently manage fiscal resources for the OSTC, ensuring that areas operate within budgetary milestones and within overall budget constraints. You will develop accurate and cost-effective budget plans to support current and future operations; and, monitor use and rate of expenditure of budget. You will provide periodic review and budget analysis to management as required to ensure completion of mission requirements. You will be responsible for researching contract options, initiating and coordinating contract actions through the Installation Contracting Office; and, monitor agreements for compliance with appropriate contract administration.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing duties related to office administration, personnel administration and management, fiscal management (i.e. executing a basic budget), logistics, records management, travel, contracting, and coordinating with external stakeholders. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related

or

Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
