You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the Administrative Department of NAVAL COMP TELCOM AREA WESTPAC.
Duties
You will act as the N1 Department Head and supervise the performance of two divisions within the department (Military and Civilian) in the performance of the positions.
You will have the responsibility to actively support and promote all aspects of the Equal Employment Opportunity Program and Affirmative action Plan as directed by applicable laws and regulations.
You will develop and provide guidance to command managers and supervisors on a broad variety of personnel management matters.
You will coordinate with the Defense Travel System (DTS) Agency Program Coordinator (APC) and the Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA) in support of official travel requests.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled.
Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:
Planning work to be accomplished, ensuring there are enough employees to complete tasks and training to perform the work. Approving employees leave, support the development of military and civilian personnel. Setting and evaluating performance, handling minor disciplinary matters such as warnings, and reprimands and recommending action in more serious cases.
Advising leadership on non-routine issues involving human resources management and program management related to the Cyber Excepted Service System. Serving on Position Management Board as an advisor regarding matters of personnel management/requirements, position management and manpower utilization, processes and procedures.
Advising and assisting management by providing manpower and management advice required to make decisions, establishing organizational goals and objectives. Interpreting and validating the Activity Manpower Document, and Officer Distribution Control Report.
Acting as Approving Official for the Defense Travel System (DTS). Coordinating with other departments in ensuring required travel documents are provided.
This position is within the Work Category Supervision and Management at Work Level II, Series and Grade GG-12.
