Duties

Experience in developing and executing organizational strategic plans in the healthcare or federal government setting. Demonstrated skills in leadership, critical thinking, communication, and problem solving Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignment taking into consideration skills and qualifications, mission requirements, and EEO and diversity objectives. As the Deputy Director, assumes command in the absence of the Director and keeps the Director informed of all significant matters pertaining to MGMCSC/MDG. Identify employee developmental needs and provide or arrange for training (formal and on-the-job) to maintain and improve job performance. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments to include long-term functional/technical advice and guidance, and continuity of management.
