You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN in the FACILITIES SUSTAINMENT DIVISION of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will perform structure-to electrolyte cathodic protection potential surveys.
You will perform installation and repair of electrical systems such as primary and secondary utility services.
You will plan and lay out the work, tracing hard-to-locate defects, problems, and completes repairs and installations.
You will install, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, system, and associated fixtures.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- May be required to obtain and maintain current licenses to operate Folk Lift, High Lift (JLG), Bucket Truck and/or construction equipment.
- Incumbent must be able to become CPR certified.
Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION1) Assisting in the installation or repair of industrial electrical systems;2) Using a variety of test equipment such as multimeters, industrial analyzers, and meggers;3) Deciding on methods techniques to use based on work orders and schematics; and4) Carrying out oral and written instructions to complete work orders.
