About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Cadet Command 8th Brigade at California State University in Sacramento, CA.

Duties

Serve as the point of contact for the organization's administrative and supply functions. Assist applicants/selectees in preparation of enrollment and with contract documents for the program. Monitors pay reports for proper payments to the universities/schools. Provide staff assistance in all areas of supply and logistics management. Assist organization by coordinating with the university to schedule and coordinate various facilities for events.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Business travel required 30% of the time and may require 6-12 weeks Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) in Support of Cadet Command Summer Training.
  • Employee required to attend Cadet Command Civilian Personnel Onboarding (C3P0) training 3rd week from start date at Ft. Knox, KY.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves: 1) providing clerical and administrative support to a supply program involving issue and turn-in procedures 2) providing clerical support by reviewing and submitting scholarship packets, personnel actions, and pay actions, and 3) providing customer service. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Supply, etc.. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
