You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the CORPARTE OPERATIONS, 8.0, NAVAL INFORMATION WAREFARE SYSTEMS COMMAND of NAVAL INFORMATION WARFARE SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Duties

You will develop products to inform and educate the internal/external audiences of the HQ/PEO's acquisition mission to support the joint warfighter, fleet readiness, and information warfare. You will stay up to date on DoN and DoN communication guidance to promote command messages, people, accomplishments, and capabilities. You will research, collect data, innovate, develop content, and execute communication planning. You will assess the effectiveness of internal and external communication efforts and modifies communication initiatives based on metrics and/or analytics. You will serve as the Media Relations Lead and prepare commander and execute for interviews.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Generally, current Federal employees applying to APS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and documented in your resume.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, drafting, or executing communication strategies, multimedia communication products, talking points and presentations that convey command messages; and create written materials that communicate complicated and technical issues to audiences; and engage internal/external audiences, including the workforce, industry partners, and general public.
