Serves as a Traffic Management Coordinator (TMC) in a level 11 Air Traffic Control Facility and is responsible for ensuring that efficient and effective traffic management is maintained.
Duties
Ensures that traffic management instructions/restrictions are initiated in accordance with established procedures to maintain a safe and expeditious flow of traffic and minimize the impact of heavy flight demands. Assesses the facility's capacity and projects an acceptable level of traffic.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
- Must provide FAA-3330-43-1 (Not Rated) Must have title series grade and date of facility rating
- Must maintain operational currency and medial clearances.
- Must maintain or complete required security clearances (POS Sen 2)

Qualifications
In conjunction with the qualification requirements outlined in the OPM Qualification Standards for General Schedule positions in the 2152, Air Traffic Control series, the requirements listed below determine the basic qualification requirements for Air Traffic Control Specialists. Please read the qualification requirements described below. Candidates must show specialized experience, which is defined as: Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) at an Air Traffic Services; ATS/ATO terminal/en route facility.NOTE: An employee who has been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS/ATO facility that is upgraded is considered to meet the qualification requirements of the upgraded position since he or she has been performing the higher-graded work.Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.NOTE: FSS falls under Systems Operations within ATO. FSS Air Traffic Controllers would need to meet the requirements listed above by having experience in Air Traffic Services (ATS) Facilities or as stated above.
